2am Club

That's how last night went.  At least it wasn't because of food poisoning...just because I couldn't sleep.  Go figure...and the one day I can sleep in, I can't.

Alas, I've got a long run plus a race tomorrow (they're being rolled together, don't worry, I'm not doing two runs!) so I gotta make this quick, shower and get some freak'n sleep!

I woke up this morning anxious as hell for some reason...so what better to do, than run it off?!

1/2 of this clif bar later (Honey had to check and make sure it was ok of course, it has a nice bite of flavor that I liked a lot!) I was out the door for a nice 4.5 mile easy jog around town...nothing too hard since I have a 12 miler tomorrow!

After getting back and cleaning up I made myself a nice cold smoothie from spiruten pb and chocolate protein powder, frozen banana, frozen raspberries and USVAB, topped off with some H2H.  It needed more liquid though...but I like my smoothies uber thick.


I thought this would hold me over but it didn't, so I snacked on a raspberry chocolate chip muffin w/ naturally more pb and some cherries.  hit the spot for sure!


I spent the morning reading stuff for work, reading and taking a 2.5hr nap to try and get rid of a nasty headache, and settled with a bowl of cheerios for lunch.  My camera ate the pic, so you get one of Honey instead.  She has a thing for laptop cases.  Sleeping in them of course.


I id some grocery shopping and such before having a snack and then heading out in the the field for some afternoon and evening stakeouts for owls and foxes.  Uh huh.  Strawberries and a honeycrisp apple...it needed chocolate.  Ok, I just have a craving is all.


After my first stake out I was ready for dinner and boy was I excited for it!  I made some chickpeas last night and made them in a dip/topping/bruschetta (I'll post the recipe for it this weekend, promise!) of sorts for my whole wheat farmers market pita bread.  It was so filling I only ate about 2/3 of each!


As soon as I got home I needed to get things done quick to get to bed for an early call for my run tomorrow! Of course the night couldn't end without some dessert!  I crushed up some TJ's Cat Grahams with TJ's Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips and Lactose Free Ice Cream.


Freak'n awesome way to end the night!

Fingers crossed everything will go smoothly tomorrow for my runs that I'm going to try and do together!  I'm really nervous about it!  Eek!
