Winter

Posted Dec 13 2009 12:00am

Today I went sledding! My friend, her daughter, and I went to a popular local sledding hill and had a great time! I haven't laughed so much in a very long time, and it felt great. Well, not too great, seeing as my poor bottom is a bit sore. Afterwards we had a great early dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, the Bear Tooth Theatrepub. I love to get the Mu Shu Veggie Wrap or the Backpacker Pizza sans cheese. The food is great and you can watch movies while eating the great food! And tickets are only $3! The Bear Tooth is right across the street from where I live, so I feel pretty lucky.
On the walk home I saw this lovely backlit tree:

All of the trees are currently coated with hoar frost because Anchorage has been wallowing in ice fog for a week now. While it makes for pretty scenery it can be tedious, and I'm anxious to see the sky and mountains again!
And this photo isn't as pretty, but it is some food that I've made: spaghetti and meatballs. I can't remember what brand the meatballs are, but they come frozen and they reheat well. A little sweet, but the texture is nice.
