 Finally tried the peanut butter oatmeal cookies from Vegan With a Vengeance - you know, the big crunchy gigantoid variety. Since I can't leave well enough alone, I tossed in the chocolate chips, but I probably shouldn't have as I find myself disappointed every time I bite into one. Sometimes peanut butter and oatmeal are all you need. Truly excellent cookies, big enough to share, but the "crunchy" is a misnomer that always made me put off trying the recipe. The crunchy only comes into play in the peanut butter - the cookies themselves are soft. |
