I’m going to briefly move away from the regularly scheduled programming and share with you all some super amazing news!!
You see, I was invited to participate in the Second Annual Vegan Recipe Contest hosted by Ethical Ocean and co-hosted by Vegan Cuts.
HOW COOL IS THAT?
I feel like shouting from the rooftops!
I am so honoured to be able to submit a recipe next to bloggers I have read for years and admired who simply blow me away with each one of their recipes. I could come in last and still be proud!
I decided to submit one of my absolute favourites, my Raw Chocolate-Coated Key Lime Pie and I would just LOVE it if all of you would head on over and vote for my recipe. Pretty please? Pretty please with a vegan coconut ice cream sundae and cacao nibs on top?
Description of the Contest:
The Ethical Ocean and Vegan Cuts Vegan Recipe Challenge is looking for the most mouth-watering delicious vegan recipe out there. 25 of the most talented vegan culinary masterminds have submitted recipes for the contest, and now we need you to pick your favorite!
You can vote daily (and for as many recipes as you want!). And if a recipe that you vote for wins, you’ll be entered into the Grand Prize draw for a chance to win a $250 shopping spree on Ethical Ocean OR a 1 year subscription to a Vegan Cuts’ Snack Pack. The more times you vote, the more chances to win you have!
Timing: The contest kicks off at 9am EST on Friday April 26 and ends at 11:59pm EST on May 17.
Note: People must sign-up to Ethical Ocean to vote; they can choose to unsubscribe to emails at any time.
Ok now we can get back to the usual Friday business of Healthy Vegan Friday!
We had 57 submissions last week! In case you haven’t seen the post or all the awesome submissions, head on over to check it out.
For those of you who don’t know, Healthy Vegan Fridays is a weekly blog hop hosted by myself, Carrie @ Carrie on Vegan and Katherine @ Green Thickies . it is a place to share your healthy vegan recipes that make use of whole ingredients and minimize the use of processed and refined foods. The recipes shared on this link up are intended to emphasis the beauty, creativity and benefits of a healthy, plant-based diet!
A spread that sounds as lovely and delicious as the girl who made it!
Now for Healthy Vegan Friday #40!
My Submission for the Week:
Smoky Collard Wrap
There are a few different components to this wrap but once you have all of them, this comes together super quickly! And oh man is it delicious! Smoky coconut bacon, anti-inflammatory hummus, carrots and sauerkraut. Mmmmmm….
