It’s a lot harder to get back into a training plan after taking a couple months off. I haven’t really had any structure in my workouts since Augusta in September.

I’m having a really hard time feeling awake for morning workouts. I’m going to try and do some more training in the evening but have yet to really change my routine.
My pace this week was little slower than I would have liked it to be but I’m getting there. I ran with some friends on Sunday and was glad that I had no trouble keeping up.
I’ve been going to the Ultimate Challenge class at my gym any chance I get. The class is in a room with 8 treadmills and the instructors set up 12 circuits. We rotate through each spending about 2 minutes at each station.
For the treadmills we are at an incline between 1-15 and jog 30 seconds and sprint 30 seconds. I’ve gotten my sprint pace up to 10mph (6:00 pace)! I’m really glad to see improvement already.
The circuits are 2 minutes of things like squats, bar bell snatches, rows, push ups, flys, press, box jumps, and lots and lots of stairs.
It’s a kick-butt work out for sure!

3 mile run (9:57 pace)
5 mile run (10:21 pace)
6 mile run (10:05 pace)
The next two weeks are jam-packed with Holiday fun. Keeping up with the plan is going to take some serious strategizing and creativity.
