Raw Vegan Cruelty-free Holiday Nog made with peanut milk
Posted Dec 22 2008 12:00am
It's round two in the
Quest for Veganog
2 cups filtered water
1 cup raw peanuts, soaked for 8 hours and drained
Blend these in the blender and strain for approx 2 cups peanut milk.
Put the pulp in the freezer to be used in a different recipe
Put the strained nut milk back in the blender
Add
3 ripe bananas, or 1 cup of dates or a combo, thereof.
nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon to taste
Blend until completely smooth, about 2 minutes or more. Then blend it some more. Like 2 more minutes. It has to be positively frothy.
Decant and enjoy. Works well with brandy, if you are into that.
I am having this for lunch and writing up this entry while slurping it up, YUM.
I never can get to the camera fast enough to get a shot of the full
glass
!
