Now this is a post with an extremely long title (because I love long titles) for all of you who´d like to learn something more about my country, especially about FOOD in my country! Be prepared to read and see some ugly stuff in the next paragraphs!! Ok, I am kidding…ehm..sort of )
Typical Czech cuisine is related to German and Austrian ones, it is really not very healthy and quite heavy for your digestion system – so much for the bad news Lately people are trying to be more aware of healthier life style and fod choices and traditional meals get new, healthier make-overs. But still – I think that unhealthy options are more prefered. Two main ingredients are MEAT and FAT
Czech people are not huge fans of breakfast (I don´t understand their mentality, really, I would eat breakfast all day long!:). Typical breakfast is a cup of black coffee, coffee + cigarettes, roll with ham or – if you want to go all fancy – scrambled eggs. Snacks are also a big no-no, if you don´t consider another coffee and more cigarettes a snack
Lunch is the biggest meal of the day in many families. Typically it consists of a soup and a main dish. Soups are sometimes served also for dinner, but often it is something like a slice of bread smeared with butter and garnished with cheese, ham, maybe some veggies on the side.
