PHYSICAL FITNESS FRIDAYS-EXERCISE-IT DOES A BODY GOOD!

TGIF! Today on this edition of Physical Fitness Friday, I want to focus on the importance of exercise and incorporating some sort of physical routine in your daily life.
For most of my life I have been an active individual. I grew up in dance classes and playing outside with friends. Then in high school I was a cheerleader and when I went to college I continued to make exercising a priority.
As I got older however, I found that I would often go in spurts of physical activity. I always seemed to have some sort of gym membership but my dedication would sometimes go on a roller coaster depending on what was going on in my life at the time.
However, recently as my schedule has been more hectic than it has ever been, I have tried to make sure to get in at least a couple of workouts per week, even if they are only 15-20 minute spurts. I find that whenever I do work out, I feel so strong and positive and prepared to take on challenges.
Many people dread the thought of a workout but my advice is to find a physical activity you enjoy and you will be more prone to stick to it. You don't have to be relegated to being a gym rat. There are a plethora of activities from yoga to pilates, rock climbing gyms, bicycle riding, walking in the park, rollerblading, golf and so many others that can motivate you to get and keep your body moving.
There are countless benefits to exercise and as we move forward with Physical Fitness Fridays, I look forward to sharing my workouts, information from the experts and new activities to try!
In the meantime, get out there and move something! You'll feel so much better when you do!
