Ironman 70.3 Augusta Training Recap: Week 16

I felt like I was all over the place this week but looking back I was pretty on target with the plan. I did my long run before work on Tuesday and got two open water swims in.

Monday:

  • PM- 1000 meter swim

Tuesday:

  • AM- 10 mile run

Wednesday:

Thursday:

  • AM- 3 mile run

Friday:

  • AM- Brick: 24 mile bike / 2 mile run

Saturday:

  • AM- 3 mile run
  • AM- 2100m Open Water Swim with Team Psych

Sunday:

  • AM- 54 mile ride

I have to give a huge thank you to Beth  for sticking with me on Sunday’s 50+ mile ride. Beth is also doing 70.3 Augusta this year. Having a buddy for the ride helped shake out a little bit of my nerves.

And with that… it’s taper time! Can you believe it?
