Mmmm, Friday is getting closer – are you ready for the weekend? How about an alternate view of the ingredients of a Twinkie ? Such an original photography idea and a different way to look at ingredients in processed foods. Lunch kind of looked like a salad explosion or tumor today.
I apparently wasn’t in my game taking phone pictures today, sorry. I tossed broccoli/cauliflower mash leftovers from last night and tossed with kale, fresh corn, red pepper and Annie’s Organic Mushroom dressing for a great combo.
After work, I picked up my dog from my dog-sitting mother and headed to opening night of our local farmer’s market.
For $10, I got 8 apricots, 5 huge peaches, a huge bag of green beans and a bag of huge beans I’ve never heard of and have no idea what to do with. But, that’s part of the farmer’s market adventure! I would have bought more, but our trip was cut short by “No Pets” signs posted everywhere. Bummer!
For dinner I got experimental with black beans creating a stew seasoned with mustard, oregano, cayenne pepper, garlic salt and dried parsley.
I added fresh mushrooms, zucchini and sauteed onions and it came out good, had a nice spice kick to liven up the beans without being overkill. It tasted a lot better than it looks! Now I’m going to make Gena’s Pumpkin Seed Mylk for tomorrow before heading to bed. And, tomorrows Friday!
