Tupten Choepel (TC) was the name given to me when I took refuge. (An external commitment ceremony in the Buddhist tradition similar to baptism in Christianity) I am also a reiki master-practitioner. And, although I have trained to give the reiki empowerments, I focus on treating people with reiki, and talking about reiki, rather than mentoring anyone to become a reiki teacher.
