I'm a 20 year participant in the sport of triathlons. I have been a triathlon junkie since 1989. In addition to that, in the last 5 or so years, I've become a bit of a nutrition junkie as well as it relates to training and racing. My wife and I are currently both racing and training as professional triathletes and coaches.

I'm a materials engineer/electrochemist who works for NASA while moonlighting as a professional triathlete.

My blog started as a way to track my training for a marathon. Since then it has morphed into a place where I write about all things running and health related. I am a 40 years young, full-time working Wife, Mom and sometime student and most recently, a triathlete! After having Gastric Bypass Surgery on November 15, 2006, I'm learning what it's like to actually lead my life, instead of watching it from the sidelines. The journey was not an easy one to start and there have been some ups and downs, but I don't reget my choice as it was best for me.
