Today I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of an email. An email that hasn't come yet. An email that I think should come today but maybe not until tomorrow or maybe the next day. But it doesn't keep me from hoping that it will come today!
I've check my email about 10,303,395 times. Still no email. ARGHH!!
The incessant checking of my email has made the day go by very quickly though! See a patient, check email. See another patient, check email. Eat, check email. Go to the bathroom - OH, hurry up and check email! ;) Oh well. It will come when it comes. In the mean time I learn a lesson of patience.
In other news - our beautiful weather continues! Yesterday O and I did a 2 hour long run in shorts! I have to admit that the wind was a little bitey at times so when we swung back towards our house to consume our gels and water, I grabbed a hat and gloves. It was in the low 40s which does feel awesome, but let's face it, still isn't 80 degrees. :)
This morning I headed to masters practice where we did 100s, 200s and 400s. We finished up the main part of the main set with a HARD 400. Coach likes to do that - sneak hard efforts in there at the end when you are already quite tired. But it was good. We also swam the 200s negative split which is really good for me because I am mostly a one pace type of athlete. Once I get into a groove it's hard for me to break out of it. So to practice changing speeds within intervals is just what I need! I tried to pretend that I was trying to bridge to a group in front of me in some open water.
And now I'm off to lift weights. Oh, and probably check my email a few more hundred times... :) Hope everyone has a great night!
