With just under two weeks before Ironman Wisconsin the news from the site of the race, Madison the Wisconsin state Capitol, is not good for cyclist.

This video taken from a city bus shows Rep. Fred Clark, a Democrat, a democrat, run a red light and smash into a cyclist who entered the intersection when his light turned green.

Clark was ticketed by Madison police for running a red light on Aug. 18.

The cyclist was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

According to published reports Clark told an officer " I was just not paying attention. "

With at least 2500 triathletes coming to the city in two weeks for the annual Ironman race, let's hope that the state lawmakers start paying attention to cyclist.
