Video: Post Leadville Trail 100 race interview with new course record holder Levi Leipheimer

Posted Aug 15 2010 2:23pm

You might think that Levi Leipheimer would have been happy not to race Lance Armstrong in one of the highest and toughest mountain bike races in the world.

If you think that you'd be wrong.

After winning the Leadville Trail 100 in record time Leipheimer sat down and spoke with the press about the race.

Just like Lance Armstrong in 2009 Leipheimer was just happy to be finished. He also said that he he wished Armstrong would have raced this year, but why don't you just watch the post race interview for yourself below.

Click HERE to watch and see what happened last year as Armstrong won the race, and road in on a flat tire.

The Leadville Trail 100 is one of the hardest and highest mountain bike races in the world. The out and back course starts at about 9,000 feet above sea level and climbs to 12,620 feet of elevation.

Armstrong was just in Denver, Colorado where he helped launch the new Colorado Quizno's Pro Challenge stage bike race.

You can learn more about that race watch him ride with thousands through downtown Denver HERE .
