As you may recall from THIS story, Ironman World Champion Craig Alexander recently had is race bike stolen from his home in Cronulla, in Sydney Australia.
Alexander values the black Orbea at about $15,000 Australian dollars and has offered a reward of $1000.00 Aussie dollars for the return of the bike.
"I don't know how these people work, they probably just offload it somewhere for a couple of hundred dollars," he said.
"This is not just an ordinary bike; if they bring it back I will make sure they get another one in its place," he added.
You can watch a video report of Alexander offering the reward HERE .
"It's a disruption to training and a pain in the backside to be honest," Alexander added today.
Alexander also said that the Obea is a one-of-kind bike in Australia, and that it would be hard to sell on eBay.
The theft has certainly put a crimp in his training. Alexander went to to say that he hopes to be racing in Singapore in two and a half weeks.
Alexander won the 2008 and 2009 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
