I'm in Orlando with the boys and having a spectacular time. I just finished up my first day of USAT Level I coaching training, and my brain is chock-full of knowledge and my heart is chock-full of inspiration. I'll have a full report at the end of the weekend, but first let me tell you about our day yesterday.
We arrived on Wednesday night, and this is how I began my day on Thursday morning
A sunrise swim at
Lucky's Lake Swim . Lucky has a beautiful home right on this lake, and opens his property up 6 mornings a week for anyone who wants to come out for an open water swim. If you live in the Orlando area, or are visiting, I highly recommend stopping by. I did two laps of the lake for a beautifully warm, no-wetsuit, 2,000 meter swim...my first open water swim of the season. I felt strong, and am very glad I went. I got to sign the wall at Lucky's, and he even got out his props for a picture. Thanks, Lucky!!
I also met a fellow trimommy blogger, Kate (
Going the Distance ). I actually first learned about Lucky's Lake Swims from her blog, so when I realized I was staying about 6 miles from the lake, I shot her a message asking if she wanted to meet up! She switched her swim workout to Thursday, and we had a great time chatting before and after the swim. As she said to me..."Trimommies Unite!"
After my swim, I headed to Sea World with my parents, my sister, and the boys. We had a wonderful time. I'm not sure if I had more fun watching the dolphins and Shamu, or more fun watching the boys watching the dolphins and Shamu. It was a great day. Enjoy the photos!
Petting the sting rays.
I got to put my new waterproof camera to work!
This is Ryan right after we finished the Journey to Atlantis ride. Basically a
roller coaster that goes through water. He loved it!
My little sand angel.
Shamu
Noah watching Shamu. I love that look of wonder.
