Yesterday -- icy rain, sleet, freezing temps. Today -- running in shorts, standing water, green grass. Tomorrow -- forecast is 59 degrees. One of the strangest winters I can remember. Hilly 4 miler today, out and back through the Belle Aire neighborhood.
Somehow the days got away from me. I was planning CrossFit Tuesday morning, but delayed it out of sheer laziness, thinking I could get it done later in the morning or evening. Between work and family stuff, it never happened. I think I made up for it today, tough WOD!
Strength: Overhead squats -- couldn't quite get these, wrist kept breaking down, so Mike had me do back squats for the conditioning portion.
When I got home, I could barely go up and down the stairs, my legs were so stiff and sore. Definitely going to add walking lunges to my morning dog walk!
Day 2 of the 100 Day Burpee Challenge, hard to imagine how many of these I will do before I get to that 100th day! (Hard to imagine, but I looked it up, and it's 5,050 burpees in all.) Still feeling sore after Thursday's CrossFit, taking it a bit easier today, but moving furniture -- tomorrow is a family birthday party for Tazer and the kitchen reveal.
Definitely used functional strength gains today, pushing my refrigerator up a flight of stairs using a makeshift ramp made of 2x4s.
Day 3 of the 100 Day Burpee Challenge, a family birthday party for Tazer, and the kitchen reveal. Except for a few punchlist items, we are up and running! (But no running today, though Tazer and I did walk to the library after the party.)
