The fun you are having might be monitored for quality assurance

Another great week. Honestly, I don't care much for it!!! I can't wait for my long run on Saturday - a 12 miler. I'm hoping to average something decent in terms of pace. In my dictionary, that's about 8:00-8:20 min/mile pace. I should be able to hit it pretty close. All I really need to do is not start my long run with practically 10 min pace as I did last weekend. I can't wait to test myself.

Yesterday, I joined a track group for my track workout (I'm such Captain Obvious sometimes... obviously I didn't got there to do weight lifting or to swim). Lucky for me, what the coach planned for the group coincided with what I planned for myself (not that I'd be doing my own thing if it didn't). We did an easy 1 mile warm-up, drills, and then 4 x 400m fast x 100m slow. I finished off with a 1 mile cool down. Overall, a VERY short workout - just 3.25 miles, but a quality one. My fast 400's went like this: 1:33, 1:43, 1:43, 1:33. This is the first time in this training cycle (about 4 months) that I did 400's, not to mention with such short recovery. So, I'm pleased with the effort. I unleashed a lot of dorkiness (my unique personal brand) on my fellow runners as a result of the post-running endorphins. We'll see if they'll still talk to me the next time I show up, HAHA!

Today is a two-a-day. At lunch, or like, right now, I'm running about 3.5 miles, and at night I'm cycling with Cyclopaths. Good stuff.
