In case you are not aware our automotive sister site: www.TFLcar.com usually gets to write about hot and half naked women at races.
They are called grid girls and as far as we can tell their job description is to hold an umbrella over a race car driver' s head ( while wearing as little clothing as possible ) so that he ( and it is almost always a he ) doesn' t overheat on the starting grid of a race.
So it was a complete and unexpected surprise when the bad boys of professional cycling ( Rock Racing along with team Owner Michael Ball) put on a Vegas style bash earlier this week in (where else but Vegas) for, " new product line of branded bikes, equipment and isotonic sports drinks Wednesday night amidst a crowd of media and VIP’s at the Blush Boutique Nightclub in Las Vegas.
Rock Racing riders Fred Rodriguez and Ivan Dominguez helped show off the new “RX-1” and “X-2” carbon frame and fork racing bicycles and the “Project 4815” fixed gear bike.
Guests also had the opportunity to sample Rock Racing’s two one-of-a-kind isotonic sports drinks, R3 POWER ELIXIR and R3 RECOVERY.
Ball told the invitation-only media and guests that the bicycles, components, wheels, tires, helmets, shoes, kits, cycling lifestyle apparel and sports drinks signal the team’s “Here To Stay” commitment that has made Rock Racing one of the most popular professional cycling teams in the world, " according to the team' s recent press release.
So let' s see Rock Racing seems to have everything now that a professional bike team needs including:
Bike Babes (the R3 Girls): Check!
Their own branded bikes: Check!
Their own recovery drink: Check!
Cool bike kit (clothing): Check!
