A is for Apple, what’s your favorite variety?
A big fat crisp one that I pick off of a tree all by myself.
Can you see me?
B: is for Bread, regardless of nutrition, calories, or whole grains what is your favorite type to have a nice big piece of?
Portuguese Sweet Bread. Especially if it has raisins and is toasted with some butter on top…mmmmm. It is very similar to Challah..another one of my favorites!
C: is for Cereal what is your favorite kind currently (just one!)
This past weekend I ate a lot of shredded wheat. I added lots of blueberries and some granola on top to give it flavor. I don’t love it but it helps with digestion…if you know what I mean.
D: is for Doughnuts, you might not currently be eating them but what kind do you fancy?
A plain old fashioned donut. I used to be a Humphreys Jelly Filled kind of girl, but that was back in the day. 10 points to anyone who can tell me where Humphreys is!!!
E: is for Eggs, how would you like yours prepared?
in a fritatta. with all sorts of veggies, cheese and maybe some shrimps.like so.
F: is for Fat Free, what is your favorite fat free product?
FRO-YO. hands down.
G: is for Groceries, where do you purchase yours at?
Usually at the Giant, but if I am playing “money doesn’t matter,” I head to Whole Paycheck. I also love TJ’s…but tend to go overboard EVERY time I go…
H: is for Hot Beverages, what is your favorite hot drink?
I: is for Ice Cream, pick a favorite flavor and add a fun topping.

J: is for Jams or Jellies, do you eat them, and if so what kind and flavor?
Homemade Apricot Jam.
K: is for Kashi, name your favorite Kashi product?
Hmm. Honestly I don’t eat much Kashi….but I do love their “7 whole grains on a mission” phrase. very clever!
L: is for Lunch, what was yours today/yesterday?
A turkey and swiss sandwich on toasted whole grain bread with lettuce, honey mustard and mayo. (yes…I like mayo. I hadn’t eaten it since I was really little, but bought it for a recipe a few weeks ago and it has made a comeback!) I also had carrots and hummus, an apple, some pretzels mixed with choc chips and other various snacks that I much on throughout the day…
M: is for microwave, what is your favorite microwave meal/snack?
Orville Redenbacher Kettle Corn popcorn with chocolate chips = one of my favorite snacks ever!
N: is for nutrients, do you likes carbs, fats, or proteins best?
I used to be a carbaholic, but I have slowly learned to tone that down. At this point in my life I just like all REAL, UNPROCESSED food.
O: is for oil, what kind do you like to use?
EVOO…but I often use EVOO spray.
P: is for protein, how do you get yours?
Cottage cheese, shrimps, chicken and eggs. Unlike the rest of the blog world, I just LIKE nut butters, I don’t LOVE them.
Q: is for Quaker, how do you like your oats?
Cooked in almond milk with banana, dried cherries and a scoop of almond butter. But I honestly like cream of wheat or oat bran better Especially this stuff…
R: is for roasting, what is your favorite thing to roast?
S: is for sandwich, what’s your favorite kind?
Chicken salad with cranberries, lettuce and onion on a toasty baguette!
T: is for travel, how do you handle eating while traveling?
Its kind of a love/hate deal. While I LOVE trying new foods and giving myself permission to have more “fun foods” while on vacation, I also quickly get to a point of wanting my typical daily eats. I also really miss cooking my own food…
U: is for unique, what is one of your weirdest food combos?
I dip my carrots in ketchup. Is that weird? I also used to (like back in the day) make this dessert that I liked to call a “Ricotta Delight.” You mix ricotta, cocoa powder and Splenda. Remember that J?!?!? and yes…I use Splenda. I know it is not all natural or “REAL.” I have no good excuse not to…except that the sweetness of splenda is only matched with about 10 packets of sugar…and I would be bouncing off the walls with 10 packets of sugar. Any ideas of how to kick the habit?
V: is for vitamins, what kind do you take?
Nada! I have no problem eating a well balanced diet (which includes not only fruits, veggies and whole grains, but an assortment of fun foods) and so far so good according to the doc!
W: is for wasabi, yay or nay?
YAY! Especially Trader Joes Wasabi Peas. I have been eating my fair share of those recently.
X: is forXRAY. if we xrayed your belly right now, what food would we see?
Sweet Green Fro-Yo topped with strawberries, mangoes, coconut and blackberries. It was a pretty solid afternoon snack!
Y: is for youth, what food reminds you of your childhood?
peanut butter and Polanar All-Fruit jam sandwiches on Arnold 7 grain bread with a side of chocolate milk. Anyone else a Polanar kid?
Z: is for zucchini, how do you prepare it?
Sauteed with Yellow Squash and Onions. This combo is a staple veggie side in my house!
