With the race season ending a couple of weeks ago and the official off season training not scheduled to kick in until November 2, this seems like an excellent time to once again work on my pitiful swimming technique. I had my first one-on-one session with Scott who is a magnificant, powerful, fast swimmer, a terrific coach and an all around great guy. I am hoping that after a few once a week sessions together, he can help me evolve from feeling like I am pushing through oatmeal to perhaps feeling as if I am somewhat gliding through jello. I can use all the help I can get, and as the eternal optimist, continue to believe that I can get better.
Perhaps not this good, but even a bit better will be a major victory for me.
