Six time Ironman world champion Dave Scott struck by car while cycling in Boulder, Colorado

Dave Six time World Ironman Champion Dave Scott was hit by a car while biking today in Boulder, Colorado.

Initial reports suggest that Scott was struck by a car making a u-turn on Linden Avenue in the Wonderland Hill part of Boulder, Colorado.

Witness at the scene of the accident report that Scott was conscious and talking after being struck, and that it looked to them like the car accident had potentially broken Scott' s collar bone or separated his shoulder with other multiple cuts on his legs and arms.

On his Twitter page professional triathlete Matt Reed also of Boulder recently wrote, " Sending good vibes to Dave Scott got hit by a car and has many broken bones. Very Sorry to hear the bad news. Get better Dave will take time"

Witnesses at the scene also report that Scott was well taken care of by both emergency services and fellow cyclist.

We' ll report more details of the accident as they become available.

Dave Scott is a resident of Boulder, Colorado and currently works as a coach and speaker.

According to his web site:
