Review: SUGOI TI L/S cycling jersey

Posted Oct 24 2010 9:02am

A crisp fall morning was the perfect day to test Sugoi's new cycling jersey made from FinoTherm fabric, touted to provide insulation and wick moisture. The fitted long sleeve jersey had a sleek black, white and gray design with three functional elastic back fuel pockets.; The jersey was comfortable, with a separating zipper which was useful for when the temperature rose from the 50s to high 60s within two hours.

The insulation was thin, fuzzy and comfortable, with an exterior that was also soft and flexible-- not rigid or paper-like. Fortunately the rain held off for the duration of my ride, so I couldn't comment on its rain protection. The jersey fought the wind and won; and adequately covered my low back when I got into the aero position. A well-designed and comfortable jersey, except it is missing a zipper pocket to give me peace of mind that keys and cash are safeguarded.
