Reed and Carfrae win the inaugural Rev 3 triathlon in Connecticut

Reed In what may be one of the hardest new triathlons in the United States, it was Matt Reed by just one minute and 35 seconds over Joe Gambles at the inaugural Revolition 3 triathlon.

Reed won the race and took home the large (for professional triathlon races at least) $16,000 first place prize.

"The hills were ridiculous, crazy. I had a decent lead on the bike and tried to stay in control but I got tired about Mile 10," Reed said.

On the women' s side it was Aussie Mirinda Carfrae who also took home $16,000 first prize and who won over American Rebbecca Wassner.
