Quality as in high intensity. Today we did some quality in the pool, quality in the sense that we swam hard and went from the blocks. Unlike swim team quality, our rest was pretty short. Times were pretty good and I felt pretty good.
After a pretty solid day of work work, I came home and Amy and I did a bike/run combo workout. Actually it was a bike, run, bike, run, bike, run, bike, run for 1:30 total. But it was action packed. After a bike warm up we did 4 minutes relatively easy spinning, 3 minutes moderate threshold type riding, and 3 minutes above threshold. We changed into running shoes and ran a 1200 at race pace or just under. Lather, rinse, repeat the 4/3/3/1200 three more times. Needless to say it was a very good race prep workout.

Tomorrow will be another sbr day. Then we're going to head out for some relaxing with my in-laws or Amy's side of the fam. They've got 16 or so month old that's trying to swim...we can help.
