Speedwork people. Intervals on the treadmill. Oh how I love that kind of pain. Last night I cut the grass right before it got dark then headed out for the gym. Nothing like sweating hard when you're walking INTO the gym. I hopped on the thrillmill and warmed up, then did 1k (0.6 miles) speedwork with 0.2 miles rest intervals. I set the speeds at 7.6, 7.7, 7.8, 7.9 mph for the successive intervals. Total workout was 4 miles in ~35 mins with warm up and cool down.
Today I hit some yoga this morning, tri power workout to come, and tonight is Bigun's final swimming lesson. I'm going to be able to get some laps in at the same time, so I'm looking forward to that.
In sad news, our family dog died this morning. She was 15 years old and went from natural causes. We buried her in the backyard next to a playhouse. Kelley got that dog when she was 8 weeks old, but she's been sick for the last couple of weeks so we kind of expected it was going to be soon. She's had that dog 2 years longer than she's had me. So it is sad, but it happens. You might remember from an earlier post I didn't like that dog (or almost any dog) very much. Still, when something makes the wife upset it's not something that I am going to enjoy either.
