Posted Jul 11 2009 10:03pm 1 Comment

Haskins It was the kind of finish that organizers dream about at the 2009 Lifetime Fitness Triathlon.

In a sprint to the finish between American Andy Potts, Australian Greg Bennett, and Kiwi turned American Matt Reed, it was Matt Reed across the line first closely followed by Potts and Bennet.

Reed, or more likely his wife wrote on twitter: " OMG sprint finish potts and reed!!! Reed wins!!! Wahoo!!! Now drug testing and onto plane for race #2!!!"

Reed plans on making it a two for one weekend, as he is scheduled to race the Boulder Peak Triathlon tomorrow in his hometown.

In the women's race another American took top honors. Sarah Haskins crossed the line first followed by Julie Dibens and Becky Levelle.
