Leanda Cave wins Ironman 70.3 Florida in new course record

Cave Leanda Cave shattered Samantha McGlone’s 2006 course record by over 4 minutes to win Ironman 70.3 in Florida today.

On the men' s side it was Dirk Bockel who won the race by three seconds over Luke Bell of Australia on the Disney property in Orlando.

According to Ironman.com:

"Leanda Cave set a new course record at Ironman 70.3 Florida, leading the race almost from start to finish and easily handling the competitive women' s field. The men' s race was much closer as Dirk Bockel outkicked Luke Bell to take the men' s title."

LEANDA CAVE (#45) set a new course record with her 4:15:47. Then:
