While not as glamorous as Chris K's trip to the far east or a stay in a presidential suite a la Adam , I am off for a project meeting in Indianapolis, IN. Many people scoff at this Midwest burg, but I, for one, appreciate what they have done. So many Midwest downtowns are dreary, empty, and depressed, but Indy has somehow managed to marshal its forces, highlight its natural features as well as create new things to see and do.
Recently came the announcement that the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library is nearly ready to open, yet one more reason to visit. So, unfortunately, I will not be reading too many blogs today or leaving pithy comments that make your day, but I'll be back tomorrow.
Interesting idea, but flawed execution. While I enjoyed the witty repartee generated by this system, it's actually not much more interactive than the original Blogger comment system, and maybe worse considering the difficulties encountered. Yesterday I pulled the plug, RIP intensedebate. My one regret? All those comments are gone, vanished into the ether, never to be read again. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
