It turns out my feet have not gone through another growth spurt. I was previously having some difficulty with my new pair of
Asics GEL-Nimbus shoes. The toe box seemed to be too small and I went to a half size bigger shoe with no luck.
Now I have stepped back and bought a pair of
Asics GEL-Cumulus shoes at my normal size and things are once again right in my world.
Earlier this week I decided to investigate the purchase of a
Zoot Trifit Racesuit.
Fitness Fanatics, my local tri store, had the color and size I was searching for. I made the drive and tried on the suit.
Now you must know that I am very concerned about my appearance and that concern leads to worry about the visibility of loose, wobbly, less than muscular portions of me flopping in the breeze as I trot on by wearing the latest lean body triathlon fashions.
So I entered the dressing booth and tried on the suit. It seemed to fit pretty well but I was not completely sure. I opened the curtain just a bit and waved at Robin, the nice lady who owns the tri store. She came over and I asked for her informed, independent opinion and then nervously waited for her conclusion as she pondered the post middle aged, self conscious puddle of manhood in front of her.
Robin gave me a thumbs up so I made the purchase.
Yesterday I rode and ran in it and it did feel pretty danged good.
I think I will keep wearing it.
Thanks for visiting.
