Everyone knows that you have to be hot to win a beauty pageant.
And it also helps to married if you plan on competing in the Mrs. America pageant.
But who would have thought that it also helps to be a triathlete?
it certainly does help as Andrea Robertson, 32, is not only Mrs.
Missouri and now the U.S. Mrs. America, but also a fast veteran
triathlete with over 50 triathlons under her belt.
"Andrea stays active as a commercial/lifestyle model and as a
triathlete. She is a member of the St. Louis Triathlon Club and
Trismart USA and has competed in more than 50 triathlons, the longest
of which was a half Ironman," according to Suburbanjournals.com.
"She lives with her husband, Ryan, and two children in O’Fallon but
returns to Columbia to compete in the annual TriZou Triathlon. In May,
she won first place in the overall TriZou female athlete category," according to the Columbia Daily Tribune.
“ Sometimes femininity gets a little lost in athletics,” she said,
noting that celebrity athletes such as Serena Williams have started to
change that trend. “I think it’s cool to be athletic and still proud to
be a woman.”
Robertson will now represent the United States at the “Mrs. World” pageant in Vietnam in November.
