First of all, I accidentally deleted a whole bunch of comments from the last 2 posts so if yours was one of them - sorry! I did read them all (and publish them...only to delete them later...) so thanks for your kindness and thoughtfullness. I promise to be a better blogger in the future! :)

Anyway, I got my schedule for the next few weeks of training. Upon opening said schedule I had a bit of anxiety. WHOA NELLY. I instantly wondered if it was too late to change my mind about Ironman. Halves are just as fun right? :) But NO, no...I CAN DO THIS! (right? right?)

I've adopted two mantras for this next few months of training leading into Kona:

1) Miles Make Champions (Arthur Lydiard-ism)

2) One Day At A Time

I certainly got what I bargained for when I asked the Dirkinator to coach me and challenge me like I've never been challenged before! (thanks Dirk...I think! :)

Time to get to work! I'm looking forward to it. I'm scared. I'm totally excited. I'm THRILLED! I'm challenged (understatement of the year). I'm READY TO GO!

One additional challenge I've taken on (in addition to doing all my training, keeping my job(s) and remembering Oscar's name) is GETTING MORE SLEEP! Although I wasn't doing too badly before with sleep, I know it will be all the more important now and I know I could do better. So if you don't hear from me for a while (via blogs, twitter, FB, etc...) I'm either sleeping, eating, training, working, or with Oscar and Roxy. (remind me again how people with children do this sport? also, thank God for an understanding family and friends! :)

Nobody ever said it would be easy did they?! :)

Happy training to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
