Go Zen! Brett takes on annual self-supported Iron distance triathlon

Zen

Forget Kona.

Forget Clearwater.

And forget Roth, instead think College Station, Texas as the home to one of the hardest iron distance triathlons.

Every year our longtime friend Brett Blanker (from the popular podcast Zen and the Art of Triathlon )  takes on the ultimate triathlon challenge in College Station, Texas...a self-supported Iron distance triathlon.

Brett calls it Iron Baby as a tribute to his son.

And every year we're always amazed that somebody would not only do a iron distance race on their own, but do it without the help of aid stations, volunteers, changing tents and thousands of other athletes to help shorten the day.

You can follow Brett's progress today live on his web site HERE .

Last time we checked Brett had completed the swim and was moving on to the bike.
