Every year a small number of celebrities run the New York City Marathon and this year was no different.
In the battle of the fast and the famous it was actor and now marathon runner Edward Norton who set the fastest mark over the 26.2 mile distance.
The Incredible Hulk star ran the race in a time of 3:48:01.
He beat Alanis Morissette who finished her NYC marathon with a time of 4:28:45.
" Edward completed the run to raise money for the Maasai Wilderness
Conservation Trust, which promotes conservation, education and health
services in southern Kenya, and he had the opportunity to train with
the warriors in Kenya ahead of the marathon.
He said of his training: "I'm often slower than the Maasai, which is to
be expected. But then I see something like a lion print, and then
suddenly, amazingly, I'm as fast as they are." according to IrelandOnline.com
Norton raised nearly $300,000 for his charity.
