Driver who hit Ironman champ Dave Scott gets ticket

Dave_running2 A 61-year-old resident of Boulder was given a "careless driving causing bodily injury" ticket for hitting six time Ironman Champion Dave Scott with her car.

Boulder Police have ticked Ramona Sands who said she was driving while looking for an open house. She added that she thought she had missed it and made a u-turn.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera:

"She told police that she heard someone shouting as she was turning left and stopped her car. Police said Scott, who estimated that he was going about 24 miles per hour, couldn' t brake fast enough and hit the side of Sands' car."

According to police reports, "Scott dislocated his shoulder, broke his wrist and broke his finger."

Scott recently under went surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinics in Vail.
