Crazy big Guinness World marathon record could be broken this weekend

A wacky Guinness World marathon record may be back in the United States soon.

Why wacky?

Because you need to be part of a large, no make that enormously large, family to even considering breaking it.

It will all go down at the Community First Fox Cities Marathon on Sunday in Wisconsin.

Breaking the record is pretty straightforward.

Really all it will take is for 16 runners to finish the race in under eight hours.

The catch: all of the 16 runners must be siblings.

According to the JSonline.com:

"In a tug-of-war for a Guinness World marathon record, a family from Oshkosh has stepped up with the runners needed to pull the mark home from Ireland: the 16 Kapral kids set to run the Community First Fox Cities Maratthon".

If they all finish the 26.2 miles in eight hours, the Kaprals will claim the record for most siblings to complete the same marathon, a mark that has bounced between the Dublin Marathon and the Fox Cities race three times in the past four years.

"I hope there are no families in Ireland with 17 siblings," said Sarah Kapral, noting the "crazy pattern going on."
