Biggest Loser...Post #2...

Posted Aug 28 2009 8:20pm
I posted awhile back about the Biggest Loser TV show. Blah, blah, I don't watch reality shows...but this one is good. America should watch this show. It's motivating and inspirational.

Long story short, the transformation that the participants undergo is amazing. Physically, mentally, emotionally. They are new people. They do it for themselves, but more than that they all say that they are doing it for the OTHER people in their lives. Most of them said they are doing it for their families. The winner's goal was to 'walk his girls down the aisle.' They were probably about 6-8 years old, he was over 400 pounds, and was probably not going to make it to see them at 18, 21, or however old they would be when they got married. His final weight was 193 or so. He looked like an entirely different person. I think that ALL of the participants lost weight.

Enough about that. I can write all day about my training, my racing, etc. I can only hope that I would inspire 1/10 of the number of people that I feel this show could inspire. Whatever is your goal...career, weight, family, athletics, diet...take the steps to reach it now and don't wait until January 1 to start. To sound corny, cliche, or whatever "Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life."
