All Good Things

Haven't posted on here for the last month or so but since getting knocked off the bike in early January I have been suffering from a damn virus for the last few weeks.
I have maintained a minimal level of training and I am happy with my overall fitness for this time of the year. My focus is still on the triathlon world championships in September, and my season starts in Rome at the end of April.

So, I'm back on track and focused on the future. I feel stronger than I have for quite a few months and, whilst the body hasn't healed completely, it’s gone a long way to doing so. The main thing is that I still enjoy the training as much as I ever did, and my love of cycling has been rekindled in recent months.I am already planning some major cycling expeditions in 2014 & 15.

I've come to realise that there is no point in being super fit if your mind’s not in great shape. Fitness is a balance between life and body, and the body is nothing more than a vehicle for the mind. Get it right and it’s a great place to be…

So the motto is... all good things come to those who wait.

Speaking of waiting... I've been approached by a publisher who has expressed an interest in publishing a book, a real one, based upon my experiences over the last 5 years or so. Much work will need to be undertaken in the coming months but in the meantime I have an article published in a forthcoming edition of the Weightwatchers entitled 'Bonk Food'
