Bio

On my blog TheStutteringBrain, I am looking into stuttering and critically review the latest research and treatment approaches. I also try to actively contribute, especially on statistical issues. I have been stuttering from 3 onwards, and did several therapies without long-term success on fluency, except that I do not care much anymore (but still feel the handicap) and talk about my handicap openly. I was born and bred in Luxembourg. I spent 8 years in England (Canterbury, London, Durham, Manchester, and Cambridge) and US (Indiana) studying physics, getting a PhD in particle physics and doing post-doc research. Then I switched to finance, worked in risk management for investment banking Bear Stearns, and now I am a consultant. I have also written a book on venture capital funds. I studied neuroscience part-time, and am interested in memetics.
