Hi, my name is nicole, I am 18 years old and my goal is to run the NYC marathon in 2 years. I am just getting into shape, I have to say all my life I have been a person who has avoided exercise. I thought that it exercise and school work would be too much for me. I now realise that this was stupid. I have been doing fitness for the past 2 months 5 times a week. My trainer, and friend, ran this year's NYC marathon. She told me to start a step by step program. I should start running 2 km for the next few weeks 5 to 7 times a week then double it till I reach a half marathon. I want to do this for myself, I finally want to feel like I am doing something for my body too. Hope to hear from some people with the same goals :) xxx
