Tanya founded and currently facilitates a mindfulness meditation and study group that incorporates the work, philosophies, teachings, and meditation techniques of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, Her group also studies the teachings of Dr. Wayne Dyer, Gary Zukav, David St. Clair, Dick Sutphen, Bear Heart (Native American Shaman and Spiritualist), Thomas Merton (Trappist Monk and Mystic), Wayne Teasdale (Catholic Monk and Christian Sannyasi, i.e., a Christian monk in the Indian monastic tradition), and Dr. Eric Pearle, along with many, many others.
Tanya is a dream counselor, having become interested in dreams and their meaning at a young age. She explored the life and dream teachings of Edgar Cayce. Tanya has assisted people with the meaning of their dreams for over 30 years. She is currently working on a book about dreams and their symbols, and has appeared on well known author Dick Sutphen's worldwide internet radio show.
She has studied and participated in the ways, beliefs, and spirituality of the Native American people.
Coming from a music business management, promotion, and marketing background, Tanya was awarded the coveted "Preservation Award" in 2004 for her promotion and marketing skills in her volunteer work with the Native American people in her State. Past recipients have been State Senators and State Archaeologists.
She also volunteers her promotion and marketing skills to a local Native American land trust group, helping to preserve and protect their ancient and sacred places and has served as a board member of a Native American women's and children's charity. Tanya holds a degree in Communication.
