Geocaching is a great way to incorporate a sense of challenge, intrigue and using your brain a bit for creative interesting hikes. It is the modern day treasure hunting activity. Perhaps you have heard of it but if not your gonna love it. Check out my blog post for some good tips. All the best

I liked your comments in side salads! It's important to have texture and flavor...not just Rabbit Food!

Tamar, you ask the greatest questions! Of course you can trust a skinny chef! I used to think not, but now that I am becoming one...I will have to!

Of course most chefs do not think these "celebutante chefs" can really cook, but we sure like to watch anyway....{[[[(;^)>

Hi Tama, You asked me awhile ago if my feet hurt and if it is hot in the kitchen......I do not spend a great deal of time in the kitchen anymore as an Executive Chef, but I can tell you that any chef's "dog's" will be barkin! Long shifts spent standing up will do that even with anti fatiue mats and good shoes. Today's kitchens are well ventilated so it is not as hot as you might think. Plus, we have the big walk-in coolers to go into if it gets to hot!

Hi Tamar! It was nice to see your kind words. Yes, part of my job is tasting many meals...but like we say...everything in moderation. I make sure it is just a taste of food higher in fat, and more than a taste if it is whole grains or otherwise plant based. Of course...this taste becomes my meal. I have lost 72 lbs in 12 months and have 18 more to go to reach my goal!

Thanks for the message, Tamar! Yes, indeed, the weather is much friendlier here for outdoor activities. I try to walk 2 miles on my lunch breaks, when I'm not in an exercise class. My excuse for not doing it in the past was that I needed my break and wasn't willing to give up lunch, but I discovered that getting out and walking IS a break and I can always eat at my desk after my walk! Besides, most of the time my walk doesn't take the full lunch hour. It's all about planning and motivation.
