Posted Aug 24 2008 1:33pm
Rest on the side. If you're waiting or resting at the wall, stay as far to one side as possible.
Slow swimmers wait. Slower swimmers starting a set should wait to push off until faster swimmers have passed.
Touch the foot. When overtaking another swimmer while lap swimming, gently but distinctly touch their foot to let them know you're coming.
Be aware. When swimming laps, stay aware of other swimmers around you.
Don't stop in the middle. Try not to stop in the middle of the pool, wait until your at the wall to stop.
Leave space. If you're lap swimming, leave some space between you and the swimmer in front of you.
Touch the foot. When overtaking another swimmer while lap swimming, gently touch their foot to let them know you're coming.
