A good friend of mine is alcholic- current consumption 70cl gin or vodka a day. He  is 51

and has been unable to work for a year. He has had a diagnosis of MS around five years ago,

and has some numbness in his hand. Last year

he briefly had a manic phase and was diagnosed as having bi-polar.  He wants to get

back to work. Would he be a candidate for

backlofen ?

Hello SuboxDoc,

Were you able to find that source of Proglumide in Pakistan? I need it for treatment of panic related bile reflux and the only available options for me are the benzos and Proglumide could replace them without the bad side effect of benzos. Please let me know. Many thanks.

I have been off of Suboxone for 8 weeks. However, the withdrawls are still real.  Can't sleep, legs twitching, no energy and feel like my brain is in prison. How much longer could this continue and  is there anything that can help this???   Also, if I take Soma will it interfere with these issues?  Thanks.

Please visit SuboxForum.com and read the many posts about buprenorphine and pregnancy.  More and more, buprenorphine is replacing methadone as the 'drug of choice' for treating opiate dependence during pregnancy.  Despite what you will hear from the angry mob, it is often not a matter of 'just saying no.'

I have been taking subutex for over a year now and just found out that I am 10 weeks pregnant.  I lowered my dose from 16, sometimes 24mgs to 8mg.  I want to get off because I don't want to harm my baby.  I am struggling since I went down to 4mg.  If I stay on 8mg a day will that hurt my baby?  Will he/she be born addicted to this too?  Please help and am very scared for my child.  THanks

Dear sub doc. I am English and 41 yrs old. I first used opiates 9 yrs ago and have been on subutex for nearly 5 yrs (this time). I began to have adverse reactions to Subtex and jumped off at 8mgs 23 days ago. It has been hell!!!! I am still in full WD not PAWS. My drug workers dont believe i'm still in WD. Is my experience unusual? My case for complete cessation from opiates is STRONG so any clue as to how long I can expect to suffer is greatly appreciated. Please answer because i feel suicidal.

Been on Suboxone for 29 months, last week doc tells patients that he can no longer prescribe it because of DEA messing with him. I was not prepared for this and trying to cope. Suboxone worked for me, I could work, go to school, be a father to my kids, and a husband to my wife. Why would any gov. agency do this?

My e-book about buprenorphine

My e-book discusses the use of buprenorphine during pregnancy or surgery, chronic pain, and other topics.

Purchase of the book helps my efforts on the web. and I made it as specific as possible. Please use it to prompt discussion with your OWN doctor-- not as a guide to treating YOURSELF.
