Earlier this week I was reading a newsletter from one of my favorite ministries, World Challenge Inc; it’s a newsletter I subscribe to on a monthly basis. The main message God was communicating through this was very simple:
“Go to My Word and stand on My Promises. Reject your doubtful feelings. All hope is born out of My Promises.”
So sitting in church yesterday, the guest speaker’s message was the same: “Your life doesn’t have to be chaotic if you would just stand on God’s promises.” - That my friends, is the way the Holy Spirit confirms the things of God. Does that happen to you? For me, it happens pretty often.
2 Peter 1 was read, “These are the promises that enable you to share in His divine nature
and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.”
In other words, we don’t have the power to live godly lives. That power only comes from God.
When we are connected to Him, His Spirit enables us to live with His goodness and peace.
