When you lead a hectic life, stress reduction techniques can be the last thing on your mind. But, there are some pretty powerful things you can do that require minimal effort. This technique involved uses all your senses: hearing, touch, sight, taste and smell. Here are some easy suggestions you can try to integrate into your life:
Hearing: put on some nice, soothing music - whether it's Bach or rapper Baby Boy, it's what you think is soothing.
Touch: massage is good, but a nice, long hot bath or shower does the trick too.
Sight: Hang up a favorite photo or painting - go abstract or bring the outside in with plein air landscape.
Taste: a nice cuppa tea will do the trick. Herbals are good - try Mother Nature's tranquilizer, chamomile.
Smell: Aromatherapy with essential oils. Use lavender to calm and relax.
