A good way to unwind after a hard day at work is to relax in the presence of candles. I really like their soothing effect. Here are a few tips to help you use candles to relax.

The scent of candles has a soothing effect. Lavender is a popular option, but you can also experiment to see which smell appeals to you the most.

If you are not particularly taken by the smell, you can try unscented candles.

Select candles in soothing pastel colors.

Avoid loud colors.

A simple way I use candles is to take a bowl of water, add some watercolors and then put floating candles in it. I sink into a deep chair and just close my eyes. The smell and just the feeling that these candles are near me really make me unwind, especially if I have had a tough day. Try it!
