Avoid stress

Avoid people who give you stress

If there are individuals who consistently leave you feeling stressed out, limit your time with them.

Avoid upsetting topics

If there are topics of conversation that consistently upset you, avoid those topics! In a group, excuse yourself from the conversation.

Learn how to say no

Refuse to accept added responsibilities that would take you beyond your limits.

Minimize your to-dos

Put the "must dos" at the top of your list and reprioritize or remove the "nice to haves".

Remove yourself

When things get too tense, leave your workplace and take a breather for a few minutes of solitude to think about how you feel.

Take control

Find a way to avoid or eliminate each source of stress. Turn off the TV, shop at a friendlier store, take a longer route home with less traffic.
