Warm Your Hallways Up With Simple Holiday Decorating Ideas

It doesn’t take much to make me happy (I keep telling men that!!)… When it comes to holiday decorations, I’m a minimalist. I also like just using what I already have around the house.
A friend was decluttering a few years ago and gave me the two 2 1/2 ft. trees, one with lights, that you see in the photos. I hadn’t used them yet and didn’t even know if the lights worked.. I saw them in my storage area last week and said, “Doggone it, enjoy them!”
In less than 5 minutes!… I put them in my hallway just outside my office door. The green plug-in from the tree runs right under my bathroom door too, so no unsightly wiring and wall plug to look at.
A lovely after-sundown-glow in the hall into the nighttime hours before bed. I love it!
The quaint wood cabin nestled under the evergreen branches is a bank, the advertisement and coin slot in on the roof on the side under the tree. I took it from its usual place in the livingroom. Add a flat rock (which normally sits in the corner, it’s heart shaped), a pine cone, some miscellaneous crystals to look like winter ice and vwala! Instant decorations for $0 and weeks of winter to come filled with the warmth of the holiday glow.
I’ll leave them up until spring too, I’m in Colorado after all! Well, okay, check with me later, I might just leave them up all year long!
